ARC-5's in use aboard a airplane in WWII
Here we see a radioman -- pictured in action aboard a WWII airplane -- with a set of HS-33 headphones on his head and a T-17 microphone in his right hand. At the very top of the photo is the RE-442 antenna coupler and meter, which is connected between the transmitter and antenna. Below it are two ARC-5 (most likely SCR-274N) transmitters. The radioman, who is speaking into a T-17 microphone, is adjusting the frequency of the transmitter on the right. To the left of the two transmitters is a BC-456 modulator. Below the transmitters is a BC-348 receiver. And below it is a rack of SCR-274N receivers.
